Yeshua’s Arm started its work with children in 2005 in Ajegunle, a slum area in Lagos
working closely with schools, churches and other established organisations to identify the
neediest children whose education had been disrupted or likely to be without our support.
We sponsored the education of out of school orphans and children of widows and
supported the education of over 1000 children in that area. Our sponsored children were all
privately educated through primary and secondary schools. A few continued to tertiary
education and are now university graduates, while several others went on to learn various
vocational trainings.
We moved our operations in 2019 to Lagos Island and subsequently to another hard to
reach, underdeveloped part of Lagos known as Ibeju-lekki/Lekki Town in 2020 at the
request of child care officials who saw the dire need in their communities.
